God’s Word Will Change our Perspective on Life How do you view God’s Word? Our perception of the Bible has a great impact on how we choose to live. God has given us an awesome gift through it and desires to use it to change us to be more like Jesus. We must be willing to spend time with God in Bible study and to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us truth, which is always found in the Bible. As God reveals Himself to us through the Word, we must choose to surrender to Him and the truth found on the pages of the Word. Therefore, we come to view the Bible as the final authority as we learn to submit whole-heartedly to its truth. Remember God’s Word is the breath of God with the power to save, transform, comfort, confront, correct and train. Our view of it will certainly impact the way in which we live. The Lord recently spoke to my heart about the truth of His Word through a passage found in Psalms 19. Verse 7 states, “The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.” The Word is free of error and brings life to our weary souls. “The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.” We can trust the Bible and be thankful for the way God uses it to help us understand His purposes and ways. In verse 8, David says, “The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.” God’s Word is always correct and through it we find joy. These are just a few of the truths the Lord is using to help enlarge my view of His Word. What is your view? Your beliefs about the Bible will impact the way in which you live, as well. Thank you so much for praying for us and continuing to support us. Please pray for us in the next few busy months and for God’s provision for Complete in Christ Ministries. |
