Keeping our Hearts Turned Toward God Through Faithfulness

Thank you so much for your faithfulness to the Lord and to us.  During these tough times of financial pressure and cultural apathy, your payers and giving allow us to share Jesus with the lost and to encourage believers in their walks with the Lord.  Please understand how important you are to us and to advancing the kingdom of our Lord Jesus both near and far as He sends us.

Psalm 119:35 states, “direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.”  It is through obedience to the Word of God and following His direction for our lives that we will find joy.  Tina and I find joy in sharing with others that completeness in life only comes through an intimate  relationship with Jesus.  The blessings of surrender to Christ include peace, joy and contentment.  Let me encourage you to enjoy obeying His commands and following closely His path for your life.

The Psalmist continues, “Turn my heart toward your statues and not toward selfish gain.”  We live in a selfish and greedy world.  We must battle the temptation constantly in order to keep our hearts turned toward God’s ways and not toward seeking our own gain.  My prayer is that the Lord will continue to remind me of the desperate neediness of  today’s world and to give me an urgency to be used by Him for kingdom purposes rather than for my own worldly gain.

Again, I encourage you to keep your heart turned toward Him and together we will share the good news of Jesus—from next door to the ends of the earth.  Thank you for your prayers for us while we were in Mexico.  We had a wonderful week of sharing with the precious people there.

Please continue to pray for us as we look forward to what God will do in us and through us in July.
