Are We Seizing the Present Opportunities to Share of God’s Love?
In Exodus 34, Moses received the second copy of the Ten Commandments from God. In conversation with God, he is reminded of the faithfulness of God to His people. In Chapter 34:4-9, God gives us some important principles that will equip us to take hold of the opportunities God places before us. First, we need to realize how awesome God really is. He is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness. We know how awesome our God is, but are we sharing with those that do not know? The second principle is that we need to realize how serious sin is. Sin will not go unnoticed by God. Many times sin is passed from generation to generation. God wants to use His people (the church) to share that there is freedom that comes through a relationship with Jesus. Jesus can and will break the bondage of generational sin. Thirdly, we need to realize how important worship is. In scripture, worship and falling prostrate before God go together. Our hearts must be willing to be prostrated before a Holy God—and when they are, we are truly ready to worship God in spirit and truth as His Word commands. He is worthy of our bowing before Him. As we humbly bow, He uses our worship to change us and to exalt Jesus. Are we ready as a church to truly worship? It is my opinion that we should take advantage of our current opportunity to share Jesus. It may be one of the greatest spiritual sharing times in the history of our country. I must allow God to begin it in me. What about you? Let us seize the challenge. Thank you for continuing to support us at Complete in Christ through your powerful prayers and faithful giving. Please pray for us in the opportunities for service that the Lord is giving us this month.. |
