The Gift of Jesus – the Reason for Great Celebration Wow! It is hard to believe that it is Christmas. Don’t you love this season of the year? Christmas is our favorite time of the year. We love the family time, all the eating, the giving and receiving of gifts and the music of Christmas. As we prepare for this special season, let’s not forget the real reason for the season. Let’s remember what God’s Word says in John 1:29, “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.’” This Christmas season let’s be sure that we look to Jesus. The word “look” or “behold” used in this verse means to call attention to, to observe with exclamation. This season, let us enjoy the blessed time with family, all the food, the giving and receiving of gifts and the music. But most importantly, let us be sure to call attention to Jesus—to look to our Savior. This is the time of year we celebrate the birth of the greatest gift ever given. He is the reason for this great holiday and so very worthy of our attention. Many of us have experienced major changes in our lives due to circumstances that we can’t control, health issues or even the death of precious loved ones. We know that as we look to Jesus during this season that He will provide the strength, comfort and encouragement that only He can give. He alone fills those empty places and reminds us of all things for which we are thankful. As we close out another year, we want to thank you for your prayer and support of Complete in Christ. We praise God for you! Please mark you calendar for February 21 as we plan a Complete in Christ Celebration to thank you and the Lord for five great years of ministry. Merry Christmas and may God continue to bless you in the new year!! Please pray for us and the opportunities God has given us in December. |
