Thanksgiving—A Time to Reflect on All our Blessings It is extremely hard to believe that it is already November. Time truly does fly as we get older. However, it seems that God gives to us a measure of wisdom and appreciation as we age. If we will look to Him for continued direction and guidance, He will open our eyes to the wonders that He has placed before us. He has allowed us to minister this past year in many places and we have seen lives saved, changed and enriched through the preaching and teaching of His powerful Word. We are very thankful for all the ways He has provided for us in the past and we are confident that He will continue to do so. One of the ways that He has met our needs so graciously is through you. You will never know how important you are to Complete in Christ Ministries and the work that God has called us to. Many of you pray for us daily, weekly or whenever the Lord brings us to your mind. Thank you for unleashing the power of heaven on our behalf—prayer is the greatest gift that you give to us. We are also thankful for your continued encouragement as we travel both far and near to share the good news of Jesus. Also, thank you for allowing God to use some of the resources with which He has blessed you to support us on a monthly or yearly basis. There have been a few times over the past 4 ½ years when we wondered if there would be enough for the next month. God tells us in His powerful word that we are to “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” He promises to meet our need for each day and He has always provided just when we needed it. Many times that has come through your generosity. Thank you for your love for Him and for us. Jodi and Eric were married in a beautiful ceremony on Oct. 27 and thus we end the season of parenting young children and enter into the stage of loving our adult children and their families. The Christian life is about constant change and though we are resistant at times to change, God has new blessings in each new season. We pray for you as many of you are experiencing changes—some big and some small. We pray that God would give us all wisdom and direction as we seek to follow Him through difficulties and life changes. Please pray for us as we approach the holiday season that God would provide continued opportunities to share. |
