New Creations In Christ – the Way We are Called to Live

Over the past several days, the Lord has been reminding us of the importance of living like who we are in Him.  After a very busy summer, we have had a few days at home to spend time in the Word.  We have been studying and preparing for some new messages and for Bible studies that have resumed.  The Lord has graciously reminded us that we are to be living like who we are in Christ instead of who we once were before we were saved.  II Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”  The phrase “in Christ” paints a picture of resting in Him because of an intimate union which leads to oneness of heart, mind and purpose.

We have been asking ourselves the question, “Are we resting in our relationships with Jesus?  Are we resting in Him as a result of the intimate relationship that we have with Him?  In Christ, we are a new creation—new as opposed to old or former and implying better because we are now different.  Are we living like the new creation that we are in Jesus?  The Bible also says in II Peter 2:9 that in Him, “we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a people for God’s own possession.”  As children of the Most High God and joint heirs with Jesus, we have the privilege of “proclaiming the excellencies of Him, who has called you (us) out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

We consider it a privilege to serve the Lord as His children and appreciate each one of you as our brothers and sisters in the Lord.  We are working together to proclaim His love to others.  Thank you for your diligent prayers, your faithful giving and your words of encouragement.

As you pray for us in the days to come, please ask the Lord about providing us with a small travel trailer that we could use for extended stays in revival settings.  God promises to provide all our needs so we are anxiously waiting to see how He will take care of us in this area.

Also, the ministry has been operating with the help of loving people like you for over 4 years now.  On February 21, we would like to show you our appreciation by inviting you to join us for a celebration in your honor.  We will announce the time and place as we get closer to the date.
