Praise the Lord for all His goodness and greatness.  He is such an awesome God and it is a privilege for us to be chosen to be His children.  It is almost overwhelming to think that the huge God of the universe sought out each of us and extended the invitation to us to know, love and serve Him--all because of Jesus.

Romans 10:9-10; 13 says, "That is thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  

Not only is our eternal destination changed as a result of believing, but as Jesus says in John 10:10b, "I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly."  The full, rich, abundant life includes the privilege to come before Him in prayer for ourselves, our families, our friends, our churches, our nation and the world.  We have His written instruction book --The Bible--for all the challenges we face daily.  The Psalms give us many reasons to praise Him for Who He is.  The prophetic books help us to know what is ahead and how faithful God has been to fulfill His Word in the past.  While all of this is incredily hard for our finite minds to comprehend, it is true and we are so very thankful to Him for His continued mercy, grace, forgiveness and love.
