Praise the Lord for His Greatness

Even almost a month later, we are still celebrating the privilege that the Lord gave us to visit Isreal, the land of Jesus' birth, ministry, death, resurrection and ascension.  Not far from the Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives is the place where His feet will touch down once again when He returns to earth to set up His kingdom and build His temple.  What a blessing to be able to have visual images of so many of the places that we study and teach about in Bible Study classes and at the various churches where the Lord sends us.

We pray that each of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, celebrating with family and friends.  We said special prayers for those of you we know who spent this Christmas as the first without a precious loved one.  As we well remember from our time after Jordan's death, the first Christmas is indeed a difficult and even lonely one.  God was good, however, to provide the strength and comfort that we needed.  We pray that you received that love from Him this year.

As we look forward to another new year, we are left wondering what happened to 2006.  Boy, did it fly by.  It gives us another opportunity to look back and to thank the Lord for all His provision for another year of the Complete in Christ Ministry.  You are part of that provision through your prayers, words of encouragement, participation and financial giving.  We are most grateful for each of you.

We are choosing to trust the Lord for the future and for the many opportunities He has placed before us so far in 2007.  It is almost overwhelming to think that He would give such ordinary people as us so many opportunities to serve Him and others.  Lamentations 3:23 says, "They (His compassions) are new every monring; great is thy faithfulness."  We praise Him for His continued faithfulness to work in our lives, in the lives of our family members and friends and to give us the words that He would have for us to share with those He places in our paths, both in and out of church settings.  Once again, thank you for loving the Lord and so generously loving and supporting us as we strive to share the good news of Jesus both near and far.

Please pray for us as the Lord brings us to your mind.

Newsflash

God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind. Does He speak and not act?  Does He promise and not fulfill?
