God’s Word Will Change our Perspective on Life

How do you view God’s Word?  Our perception of the Bible has a great impact on how we choose to live.  God has given us an awesome gift through it and desires to use it to change us to be more like Jesus.  We must be willing to spend time with God in Bible study and to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us truth, which is always found in the Bible.  As God reveals Himself to us through the Word, we must choose to surrender to Him and the truth found on the pages of the Word.  Therefore, we come to view the Bible as the final authority as we learn to submit whole-heartedly to its truth.  Remember God’s Word is the breath of God with the power to save, transform, comfort, confront, correct and train.  Our view of it will certainly impact the way in which we live.

God is the Ultimate Loving Parent

Have you ever reached a place in your life where you wonder what you used to do with all your time?  Since our precious little grandchildren gifts from God have come into our lives, we are most blessed that their parents allow us to be actively involved.  They do require quite a bit of time and energy, however.  We had heard others say that grandchildren are very grand and after having these two, I believe that may possibly be an understatement.  The anticipation of seeing them every few days is like that of Christmas.  I know many of you are not able to see your children and grandchildren daily and my heart feels compassion for you.  Still when you do get to spend time with them, it is totally wonderful.

God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind. Does He speak and not act?  Does He promise and not fulfill?
